The Orquestra de Cambra de Mallorca (Chamber Orchestra of Mallorca) is a new professional ensemble in Majorca. Around 35 musicians are playing in this ensemble with three principal objectives :
To approach the classical music to villages and small towns without a
regular offer.
To give job opportunities to the musicians
To promote the local talent : great soloists and composers of Mallorca who normally makes career far from home.
To realize all this objectives, we are very clear about the level of excellence that we want to reach in all our performances. Moreover, our social
commitment goes beyond the concerts and the convectional performances, we get involved directly in the research of new audiences with flashmobs and
a strong pedagogical program in collaboration with the education institutions of the places where we play.
The orchestra is supported in a horizontal organization based in a non-profit association. This is a modern way to develop our project.
